This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Organ failure
Although some common symptoms occur, there are fewer symptoms. If you have any symptoms (whether listed above or not), please speak to the doctor immediately. You should also consult your doctor if you have vision blurring or skin rashes. The above list may be incomplete and please inform if you have other symptoms. These symptoms are more pronounced if the drug is used extensively.
Before taking Covapril medication, consult your doctor's advice especially if you have any of the following illnesses. Contraindicated disease:
Diabetes
Kidney failure
Swelling blood vessels
Hereditary angioedema
Allergies to Covapril's medicines or any other ingredients
It is not recommended for use by baby children. Please keep it away from children
Hypersensitivity

Reactions vary by individual. You are encouraged to ask your doctor about the possibility of reactions between the medicines before taking them.
Diuretics (eg Thiazide)

Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight
Avoid using this medication prolonged
Alcohol may affect your liver if taken with this medicine
Tell your doctor about other diseases you are experiencing or about other medicines you are using. Do not stop taking medicines that have been determined by the doctor.
Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is not advisable to consume alcohol with Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s. Taking Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s with alcohol may lower blood pressure and may increase certain side effects of the medication.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s is unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown evidence of fetotoxicity and it may increase fetal and neonatal morbidity and death. However, there are no controlled data in human pregnancy and this will make it more dangerous to use. Adequate method of contraception should be made when patient is on this medication.
Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s is not recommended to be taken when the mother is still breastfeeding the baby. Although the excretion into human milk is unknown, but it is excreted into animal milk. The effects towards the baby is unknown.
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s may cause side effects such as palpitations, syncope, headache, visual disturbances, dyspnea etc. that is very dangerous to have especially while driving.
Kidney Warning (High Risk)
Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s should be used with a proper prescription by a specialist in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s may be needed. Please consult your doctor regarding the benefits of using it.
Liver Warning (Limited Data)
Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s may worsen liver disease. It should be used with extreme caution in patients with liver disease and the dose adjustment of Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s may be needed. As Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s is metabolized in the liver, people with liver failure may have longer time to excrete it from the body and this makes the levels of Covapril 4mg Tablet 100s to be higher in the body and causes more side effects.

Covapril 4mg Tablet should be taken according to the recommended dosage and duration.
Use of Covapril 4mg Tablet may cause a rapid decrease in your condition. Rise carefully, If you've been sitting or laying down, to avoid dizziness or fainting
May cause dizziness. Use Covapril 4mg Tablet with caution when driving or doing activities that require attention until you know it affects you
Best taken at bedtime to avoid dizziness throughout the day.
Notify your doctor about any cough, or throat irritation that does not go away.
Covapril 4mg Tablet may increase the level of potassium in blood. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
Notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
