How To Use Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip)
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Apart from the function Lipanthyl Penta and its uses, there may be side effects associated with this drug. Please see the list below:
Pain, swelling, redness and heat in one or both legs
Nausea
Vomiting
Stomach pain that spreads to the back area
Backache
Abnormal bleeding in the mouth, nose, vagina and back
Allergy
Pulse rate
Headache
Nasal stuffy nose or nose
Chest ache
Breath goes fast
Cough suddenly
Coughing blood

Although some common symptoms occur, there are fewer symptoms. If you have any symptoms such as chest pain or bloody cough, please talk to your doctor immediately. Before taking Lipanthyl Penta medication, please refer to your doctor's advice especially if you have any of the following illnesses. Contraindicated disease:
Severe kidney disease
Allergies to Lipanthyl Penta or any other ingredients
Liver disease
Gallbladder disease
It is not recommended for use by baby children. Please keep it away from children
Diabetes
Heart disease
Thyroid disorders
Pancreatitis
Breastfeeding

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip). Generally, consuming alcohol will increase triglyceride level and may also damage the liver. Patients with high alcohol intake is at risk of developing rare side effects of myopathy and/or rhabdomyolysis. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
The safety of Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip) for use during lactation is unknown. Limited human data suggests that 160mg tablets should not be used in nursing mothers.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip) cause minimal to no side effects which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip) should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be needed. Please consult your doctor before using it. Use of Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip) is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Warning (Limited Data)
Abbott Lipanthyl Penta 145mg Tablet 10s (strip) should not be used in patients with liver disease due to inadequate data. Please consult your doctor before using it.
