Introduction of Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop 5ml

Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop is an effective, soothing, and comfortable eye drop solution. Always wash your hands before and after applying eye drops. This eye drop solution is suitable for adults and children above the age of two. To prevent drops from being washed out of the eye, wait 5 minutes before administering another drop (of the same or a different medication) into that eye. Replace and tighten as needed.

How To Use Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop 5ml

Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
Tilt your head back and look up.
Gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
Hold the dropper above the eye with the tip down.
Squeeze out 1-2 drops and close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
Replace and tighten the cap on the bottle after use.

How To Store Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop 5ml

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

GI symptoms; bleeding; peripheral and optic neuritis, visual impairment, blindness; encephalopathy, confusion, delirium, mental depression, headache. Haemolysis in patients with G6PD deficiency, Hypersensitivity reactions (rashes, fever and angioedema) Eye drop: Blurred vision. Ear drops: Ototoxicity.

It is safe to have alcohol with Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop 5ml

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop 5ml is not recommended in pregnant women. Some animal studies have shown side effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Benefits may outweigh the risk in pregnant woman so please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop 5ml is contraindicated to patients who are currently breastfeeding as Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop 5ml is excreted in the breastmilk and have cause adverse effects to breastfed infant such as loss of appetite and heavy vomitting.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

It is not advised to drive after taking Nicol 0.5% Eye Drop 5ml, especially if medication is taken in the form of eye drops as it may blur your vision causing disruption to the driver.
