It is safe to consume alcohol with Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml as there is no known drug interaction. No known side effects when used along with alcohol consumption.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
There are mixed and inadequate data to conclude the safety profile of Chlorpheniramine in pregnant women. It may be safe to use in the first and second trimester but may increase the risk of premature neonates if used in the third trimester. Special precautions must be taken into consideration to use Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml during pregnancy. Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml may be unsafe to be used during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse reactions on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may outweigh the risk. Please consult your doctor before consuming it.
Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml is present in small quantity in human breastmilk and can cause drowsiness on the infant. Close monitoring is required if using Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml during breastfeeding or using second generation of anti-histamine. Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml should be used with caution during lactation as there is no information regarding the presence of Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml in human breast milk. Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml can pass into breast milk. Hence, caution should be exercised when prescribing Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml to breastfeeding mothers.
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
It is not advisable to drive when taking Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml due to its potential side effects such as drowsiness and dizziness which can affect the ability to drive and concentrate. Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Warning (High Risk)
No dosage adjustment is needed for people with renal impairment despite it being excreted via urine. Dose adjustment of Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml is not needed in patients with kidney disease. The use of Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Warning (Limited Data)
Although no dosage adjustment is indicated by the manufacturer labelling, precautionary measure with dosage adjustment may be needed in moderate to severe hepatic impaired patient due to Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml being metabolised by the liver. No dose titration of Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml is required in patients with liver disease. Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml rarely leads to any hepatic impairment unless in the elderly patients. Dose adjustment of Promedyl DM Linctus 90ml may be needed.Please consult your doctor.
