Topical mometasone belongs to a class of medications known as topical corticosteroids. Mometasone furoate has anti-inflammatory, anti-itching, and blood vessel constriction properties.

Alcohol Safe

As Mometasone Topical is used topically, the risk of interacting with alcohol consumed is negligible.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Mometasone Topical may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal reproduction studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. The benefits from the use of Mometasone Topical in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data

Mometasone Topical is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Animals studies showed Mometasone Topical is excreted in the milk of rats. Limited human data suggests that Mometasone Topical does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving Generally Safe

Mometasone Topical should not affect alertness or driving ability.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

Mometasone Topical is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment.

Liver Safe If Prescribed

Mometasone Topical is generally safe for patients with liver disease.
