About Egoderm Ointment 25g
Treat eczema with Egoderm Ointment. Dermatitis is a common skin reaction characterized by redness, itching, swelling, and rash. Skin might become dry, flaking, and blisters can occur. While dermatitis is not communicable, scratching may cause infection. The words eczema and dermatitis are commonly used interchangeably, referring to an atopic skin reaction triggered by irritants or allergens.
Here are some atopic dermatitis tips:
Moisturise often, particularly during flare-ups
Before using moisturisers or emollients, test them. Dab a tiny quantity of product onto a skin region. Wait a day or two. If there is no redness or irritation, the product is safe to use.
Avoid scratching; keep nails short. Anti-itch treatments may help, while antihistamines are useless for atopic dermatitis itch.
Opt for a gentle cleanser
Use lukewarm baths or showers
Pat dry your skin, then apply a moisturiser or emollient.
Choose cotton clothes and bedding
Use sensitive skin washing detergent and avoid fabric softeners
Prevent overheating and extreme temperature fluctuations to avoid itching.
Some advice for allergic contact dermatitis:
Your doctor may arrange for allergy testing if required.
Irritating contact dermatitis:
Avoid contact with irritants and cover your hands with barrier cream or gloves.
Because conventional soap is particularly drying on the skin, use a light soap or soap replacement.
