How To Use Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Gut disturbances, Taste disturbances, Headache, Perioral/Limbs numbness, Insomnia, Skin rash, Weight loss, Immune reconstitution syndrome, Increased triglyceride and cholesterol level, Hyperglycaemia, Pancreatitis, Liver dysfunction

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

Alcohol may accentuate the liver damage caused by Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s. Thus, it is not advisable to consume alcohol and Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s concomitantly.

Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities but human studies have not shown any reproductive toxicities. Thus, Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s can be used during pregnancy if needed.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Excretion of Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s is found in human breast milk but there is no information on the effects of Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s on breastfed babies. An HIV-infected woman should not breastfeed to prevent HIV transmission, developing viral resistance and serious side effects onto the breastfed babies. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)

Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)

No dose adjustment needed for patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. However, Norvir 100mg Tablet 30s is contraindicated in patients with severe liver impairment. Please consult your doctor.
