Product Overview
Introduction of Otrivin 0.1% Nasal Spray 10ml
Otrivin 0.1% Nasal Spray should be taken as you have been instructed by your doctor. It offers just brief relief but do not use it more frequently or for longer than advised. Normally you should blow your nose gently before using it, keep one nostril closed while putting the medication into the other, and then sniff deeply to make sure it penetrates deep into the nose. Then repeat for the other nostril. It gives relief quite immediately and may continue for many hours. If you take this medication too frequently or for too long, it may aggravate your symptoms rather than relieve them. The most frequent adverse effects are irritation or pain to the nose and sneezing. It may also induce nausea, headache, and nasal dryness. These are generally minor but if they annoy you or do not go away, your doctor may be able to recommend methods of avoiding or decreasing them. It is usually a safe medication however, before taking it, speak to your doctor about any health issues you have such as heart difficulties or high blood pressure (hypertension) or hyperactive thyroid gland or glaucoma or prostate enlargement. Let your doctor know about any other medications you are taking to be sure you are safe. Ask your doctor for guidance before taking this medication if you are pregnant or nursing.
How To Use Otrivin 0.1% Nasal Spray 10ml

Push down and spray bottle while sniffing in gently. Repeat the same steps for the other nostril. Wash your hands after use to remove any medication.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Close one nostril and insert the bottle tip into the other.
Spray the sides of your nostrils, away from the cartilage that separates the two sides of your nose. Exhale slowly from your mouth, then repeat for the other nostril.
Deep breathing will cause medicine to return to the throat, reducing its effectiveness.
