Introduction of Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip)

Vfend 200mg Tablet functions by preventing the development of fungus It destroys fungi by damaging the fungal cell membrane.

Take Vfend 200mg Tablet throughout the dosage and duration as recommended by the doctor. Take the medicine one hour before or one hour after a meal. The medication can be taken in a variety of doses during the day to relieve various symptoms. Continue to take the medication even though you feel better. If the symptoms go away over time, continue the course of therapy. Be mindful that if you miss doses, the infection may return and you will require further treatment to manage it. Notify your issues to the doctor so they will help get rid of it.

Do not take this medication if you are pregnant or may get pregnant or if you are breast-feeding. Speak to the doctor before taking this medicine if you have cardiac issues, a poor immune system, kidney problems, or liver problems. (for example, a yellow skin or jaundice). This medicine may make you dizzy or cause you to feel nauseous or have blurred vision. Do not drive or handle heavy machinery until you know how this medicine impacts you.

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Take this medication at the dosage regimen prescribed by your doctor. Swallow as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break the tablet. Vfend 200mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but it is best taken at a fixed time.

Some of the most frequent side effects of this medicine includes rash, vomiting, nausea and headache, which are not generally extreme, but are ones you can address with the doctor. They may cause a rash, vomiting, and abdominal or respiratory issues. Contact the doctor if you have any significant allergic reactions.

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Safe)

There is no known interaction between Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip) and alcohol. However, possibility of interactions cannot be excluded. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicity but there are limited data of Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip) on pregnant women. Thus, it is not advisable during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

Excretion of Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip) into human milk has not been investigated. It is not advisable during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip) may cause side effects such as brief visual disturbance or sensitive to bright light, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

Oral preparations of Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip) are safe to use in patients with kidney impairment. However, intravenous preparations of Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip) has to be avoided and switch to oral preparation in patients with creatinine clearance less than 50ml/min.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

Dose adjustment of Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be needed in patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. Caution use has to be exercised in patients with severe liver impairment as there are no studies of Vfend 200mg Tablet 10s (strip) in this group of patients.

Quick Tips

  • Vfend 200mg has been recommended by your doctor to relieve and manage your infection. 
  • Do not miss any doses or complete the full cycle of treatment, even though you feel better. 
  • It should be taken around one hour before or one hour after a meal. 
  • Do not take antacids after two hours of taking Vfend 200mg Tablet. 
  • Your doctor can check your liver function before beginning treatment and routinely thereafter. 
  • Tell your doctor if you experience yellowing of your eyes or skin, dark urine or stomach pain. 
  • Contact the doctor if you are breastfeeding, expect to become pregnant or breast-feeding.
