Side Effects: Many side effects does not need treatment and fades as the body adapts to the medication. If they persist or you are concerned about them, contact your doctor. Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia), fatigue, headache and dizziness are the most frequent adverse effects of this drug. Be sure to know how to cope with the symptoms of low blood sugar levels, include sweating, dizziness, headache and trembling. In order to stop this you should always eat consistently and always have with you a fast-acting glucose supply such as sugar or fruit juice. Alcohol will also increase the chance of low levels of blood sugar and can also be avoided. Certain people might experience weight gain with this medication.

Severe allergic reactions such as severe rash, severe itchiness and fever, swollen throat, face, eyelids or lips can happen. Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities and prolonged severe hypoglycaemia has been reported in newborns to mother receiving Amaryl 3mg Tablet 30s at time of delivery. Thus, it is contraindicated during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding Warning(Not Advisable)
There are no data on the effect of Amaryl 3mg Tablet 30s upon breastfed babies. Thus, Amaryl 3mg Tablet 30s is contraindicated during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Amaryl 3mg Tablet 30s usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Amaryl 3mg Tablet is a prescription medication. Amaryl 3mg Tablet can be used alone or with other medications. It should be consumed before or with the day's first meal. Take it at the same time every day consistently to get the best results. Your doctor will determine which dosage is appropriate for you, and this will vary based on your blood sugar levels from time to time. Continue taking this medication, even though you feel much better or your blood sugar level is controlled. You can increase blood sugar, and risk kidney injury, blindness, nerve problems, and loss of limbs if you stop it without consulting your doctor. Know that it is just part of the recovery regimen which as the doctor advises, should include a balanced diet, daily exercise, and weight management. Your blood sugar levels should be routinely recorded and your doctor would also advise blood testing to monitor your blood count and function of your liver.
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Quick Tips
Amaryl 3mg Tablet is best taken before or with the first meal (usually breakfast).
Do not skip your meals as it may further affect your condition.
Get daily exercise, eat a balanced diet, and take your other medications (if prescribed).
Regular monitoring of blood sugar level is advised while on Amaryl 3mg Tablet
Use Amaryl 3mg Tablet with caution when driving or doing activities that requires attention until you know it affects you.
If you use other similar medication, alcohol, or if you are delaying or miss a meal, you can induce hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level).
Do take sugar or fruit juice with you in the condition of hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor and anxiety.
Your doctor will periodically review the function of your liver.
Notify your doctor if you have symptoms, including stomach pain, appetite loss or eye or skin yellowing (jaundice).
What If You Forget To Take
You should skip a dose of Amaryl 3mg Tablet if a meal is skipped, and add a dose of medicine if you eat an extra meal.
