How To Use Elidel 1% Cream 15g

This medicine is for external use only. It should be applied to clean, dry and intact skin. Massage gently to affected areas to facilitate cream absorption. Always wash your hands before and after using this cream. Replace cap tightly after each use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Burning sensation, Redness of the skin, Skin infection, Swollen lymph nodes, Headache, Cough, Rhinitis, Upper respiratory tract infection, Fever

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

It is not advisable to consume or take alcohol when on Elidel 1% Cream 15g as the latter may exacerbate the skin side effects of alcohol.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Animal reproductive studies have shown foetal toxicity when only given orally. There is no embryological or fetal toxicity when it is applied to the skin. Elidel 1% Cream 15g should be used with caution during pregnancy considering the risks and benefits.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

It is not known whether Elidel 1% Cream 15g is excreted into human breastmilk or not. Due to its potential toxicity, Pilocarpine is not advisable to be used during breastfeeding.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

Elidel 1% Cream 15g is generally safe to be used before driving as the side effects profile does not suggest any disruption on the concentration or ability to drive.

Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)

No dosage adjustment is needed for patients with renal impairment as indicated by the manufacturer labelling.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

There is no dosage adjustment needed for patients with hepatic impairment according to the manufacturer labelling.
