Introduction of Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s

At any time of day, the Jardiance 10mg Medication may be taken with or without food, but you should continue to take it daily at the same time. Your doctor will determine the dosage. Do not quit taking it without consulting your doctor. If you do, the blood sugar levels may rise and put you at risk of severe problems such as kidney failure and blindness.

Inform the doctor before taking this medicine if you have some kidney or liver issues or an inflammation of the urinary tract or if you are on diuretics. Also, pregnant or breastfeeding women should contact a doctor. Stop heavy intake of alcohol when taking it, as this can raise the likelihood of any side effects. Check your blood sugar levels frequently while taking it.

How To Use Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Many side effects do not need immediate medical attention and resolve as the body responds to the medicine . Tell the doctor if they continue or if you are concerned about them.

Nausea, excessive urination , increased thirst, urinary tract infections, and hypoglycemia (low levels of blood sugar) are the possible side effects of this medication. It may cause the body to lose too much water. Thus, drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated and to resolve the side effects of the medicine. In the genital region, some people can develop fungal infections.

Please consult a doctor especially before taking Jardiance FC tab 10mg. If you have any of the following conditions & contraindications:-

Allergy to Jardiance FC tab 10mg or any of its components
Severe renal failure
It is not recommended for children & Neonates. Please keep it out of reach from them
Hypersensitivity
Breastfeeding
Pregnancy

Jardiance FC tab 10mg Drug Interactions

Drug to drug interaction reaction of Jardiance FC tab 10mg varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.

Alcohol Warning (Use With Care)

Alcohol may affect blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes. Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s might also increase the risk of diabetes ketoacidosis but this mostly applies to patients who abuse alcohol. Generally, it is not advisable to have alcohol with Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s is not recommended to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have show an adverse effect on the foetus after birth however there are no human studies.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s is not advisable to use during lactation. It is not known if Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s passes into human breast milk.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease as its main mechanism of action is at the kidney. Dose adjustment of Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s may be needed for patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s is not allowed in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)

Patients with liver disease may require a dose adjustment while on Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s. It is due to the prolonged exposure of Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s in patients with liver disease. Thus, patients with severe liver disease are not allowed to be on Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s.

Quick Tips

It may cause you to urinate frequently. Drink lots of water, stay hydrated.
This might cause hypoglycemia when used with other medicines, alcohol or if you miss a meal.
Always carry something sugary with you in case you experience cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremors and anxiety.
This could cause genital fungal and urinary tract infections (UTIs) in both males and females.
Carefully monitor your blood sugar.
Tell your doctor if you have joint pain, cold-like symptoms or unexplained nausea/vomiting.

What If You Forget To Take

If you miss a dose of Jardiance 10mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Does Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s cause hypoglycaemia?

Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s does not usually cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) when taken on its own. However, it may occur when other glucose controlling medications are added to your therapy due to suboptimal control of your blood glucose levels.

Why does Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s increase the risk of developing genital and urinary tract infections?

Due to the way in which Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s works to lower your blood glucose levels, Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s provides a favourable environment for fungus to thrive and grow thereby resulting in genital infections developing. Jardiance 10mg Tablet 30s also removes excess glucose by increasing the excretion of glucose into your urine which may lead to urinary tract infections. Therefore, it is advised that you increase your fluid intake and maintain good personal hygiene.
