Plendil 5mg Tablet refers to a class of medicines known as calcium channel blockers.
Plendil 5mg Tablet can be taken on its own or along with other medicines. The dosage regimen depends on the patient's condition. You can take it at any time of the day with or without food, so it's better to take it at a specific time daily to remember better. Keep taking it as long as the doctor has advised you to. Even if you feel better , do not quit this medicine. If you stop taking it, it can make your condition worse. Keeping your blood pressure controlled on a daily basis, reducing your weight and maintaining a balanced diet can also help manage your blood pressure. Seek the advice of your doctor when taking this medicine.
Before administering it, inform the doctor if you have any issues with your liver, kidney or heart. Pregnant or breast-feeding women should also ask their doctors for advice prior to taking this medicine. You will need to inform your doctor what other medications taken, including those used to treat high blood pressure or cardiovascular problems. You should get your blood pressure tested routinely to make sure that this medication works well.
Many side effects require minimal medical assistance and fades as the body responds to the medicine. Speak to the doctor if they continue or if you are particularly worried.
The most frequent side effects include fatigue, nausea, swelling in the legs or knees, dizziness, flushing, and headache. Consult the doctor if you have been affected by all of these side effects or if they prolongs.
If you miss a dose of PLENDIL 5MG TABLET, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
