How To Use Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip)
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew or crush the capsule. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
There could be certain side-effects associated with the usage of the medication. Please refer to the list below:-

Efficacy of Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) decreases if patient is taking alcohol and patient easily become intoxicated when taking alcohol along with it, increasing the side effects of Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip).
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Animal studies revealed that Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) given at very high doses showed effects on organ development, bone tissue formation, and neonatal mortality. However, teratogenic effects were not observed. Nevertheless, limited data available on the safety of Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) in human fetal risk. Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) should not be used in pregnant women.
Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)
A quite significant amount of Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) is excreted into the breast milk, therefore, Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) should not be used while lactating however it is not necessary to discontinue breastfeeding after a single dose of this medication
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) may cause side effects such as dizziness, headches, nausea or palpitations, all of which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) should be used with care in patients suffering from kidney diseases especially advance chronic kidney disease as its systemic elimination is reduced.
Liver Warning (Use With Care)
In patients with hepatic insufficiency, the removal of Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule 10s (strip) is delayed, therefore it should be used cautiously.
Quick Tips
Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule medication is usually used for not more than 5 days. If you are using Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule for long term, you will need to regularly follow up with your doctor.
Repeated usage of Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule may develop in physical and psychological dependency even at acceptable doses.
Take Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule with meals to avoid stomach discomfort
May cause dizziness. Use Hovid Pengesic 50mg Capsule with caution when driving or doing activities that require attention.
