This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

The most prominent side effects of this medication include hot flashes, tiredness, elevated sweat and increased cholesterol levels (hypercholesterolemia). Let your doctor know if these bother you or if they appear alarming. They may recommend ways to prevent or minimizing side effects.
It is safe to consume alcohol with Femara 2.5mg Tablet 30s as there is no known drug interactions.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe - High Risk)
Femara 2.5mg Tablet 30s is contraindicated in pregnancy as there are reported cases of congenital malformations such as ambiguous genitalia and labial fusion.
Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)
There is no information regarding the presence of Femara 2.5mg Tablet 30s and its metabolites in human milk. Therefore, the risk of adverse effects cannot be excluded and it is not recommended to use the medication during the nursing period.
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
Femara 2.5mg Tablet 30s may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
No dose adjustment of Femara 2.5mg Tablet 30s is needed in mild to moderate kidney disease. There is no information regarding dose titration in severe kidney disease. Therefore, Femara 2.5mg Tablet 30s should be used with caution in severe kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Warning (Use With Care)
Femara 2.5mg Tablet 30s should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease as dose adjustment of Femara 2.5mg Tablet 30s may be needed. However, in mild to moderate liver disease, no dose adjustment is required. Please consult your doctor.
Quick Tips
Femara 2.5mg Tablet can be taken with or without meals.
Use Femara 2.5mg Tablet with caution when driving or doing activities that require attention until you know how it affects you.
Femara 2.5mg Tablet may cause sweating and hot flushes. Try to stay hydrated and cool with light and airy clothing.
Regular tests may be conducted to monitor your cholesterol and bone mineral density (BMD) levels while on Femara 2.5mg Tablet.
Notify your doctor and do not take Femara 2.5mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
What If You Forget To Take
If you miss a dose of Femara 2.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
