Healthcare Super App Product Lead

DoctorOnCall is Malaysia’s largest digital healthcare platform. We are building the country’s digital hospital and digital pharmacy to enable healthcare anytime, anywhere. We are currently
growing our team to deliver ever resilient digital healthcare services such as online consultation, medicine delivery, doctor booking, health screening and health content.
The Product Lead is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle of DOC services, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Key Accountabilities:
Advise UI/UX design strategy
- Perform market research and capability benchmarks across the product landscape
- Anticipate future user requirements and consumer demands to set user interface and user experience strategies
- Assist with decision-making and sequencing of user interface and user experience functionalities and enhancements made to IT hardware, software and services
- Provide guidance in the evaluation and prioritisation of gaps and issues in the user interface and experience to be addressed
Set product development strategy
- Anticipate the impacts of internal and external business challenges and market conditions on the organisation's product development roadmap
- Define product development vision and strategy
- Make business case technology investments in product development
- Oversee the development and alignment of the product portfolio roadmap with the adopted strategy and vision
Manage projects and stakeholders
- Build partnership with internal and external senior stakeholders
- Communicate project objectives at critical junctures to obtain buy-in from all stakeholders
- Conduct commercial discussions and negotiations
- Drive the use of project management tools and processes to ensure project is cost-effective
- Guide stakeholders toward reaching compromises and agreeing on expectations
- Plan project timelines and resources needed
Develop business
- Build relationships with key clients, business partners and industry stakeholders to drive business growth
- Establish guidelines for marketing tactics and pricing strategies
- Evangelize products with customers and internal stakeholders
- Guide the team to develop a differentiated sales strategy across the lines of business
- Sign off business proposals for new opportunities
Set standards and governance
- Define best practices in application development
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Recommend changes in application development philosophy and policy
- Set governance policies and procedures
Manage department
- Define common goals, direction and accountability among staff
- Develop staff through ongoing coaching, mentoring and career discussions
- Drive effective performance management practices within the department in accordance with organization policies and procedures
- Oversee department management including budgets, forecasting, work allocations and staffing
Drive product development - vertical
- Facilitate seamless product integration and bundling across market segments
- Guide development teams on issues related to the product design, development, and deployment for the product portfolio
- Ideate enhancements to product portfolios to improve their commercial performance
- Oversee the development of a portfolio of products
To succeed in this role, you should ideally have
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager
- Background in Mobile App and Backend Design and Development
- Experience with NodeJS, ExpressJS and REST APIs
- Experience with React Native
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JS, NodeJS, SQL knowledge
- Familiar with Javascript ES6 coding standards
- Experience with Android and iOS development lifecycles
- Familiar with mobile development tools including Gradle, XCode
- Experience with deploying applications in Google, Apple and Huawei App Stores
- Led and managed a team to execute client/business requirements
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Strong technology background with good product design & development experience
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Proven business and commercial experience is essential
