Vaccination Booster with unknown heart condition
Hello, I’m a 24-year-old woman who was diagnosed with hypertension in December and is currently taking medication for it. I have an appointment with a specialist in March to learn further about my heart condition, as my resting heart rate is too high, ranging from 90 to 110 beats per minute. I went to a private clinic to get advice on whether I should take my booster before the appointment, and the doctor said I should wait for now. I also went to a government clinic, and the doctor said I could. Now that I have a booster appointment in February, I’m not sure what I should do.

Hello and good evening
Thank you for your question.
Based on your question, I understand that you are worried about your problem. I will try to help you.
For your information, you can take the vaccine after being evaluated and examined by a doctor carefully through your health history, especially history regarding immunizations and allergies as some people may experience side effects such as allergies after receiving the vaccine injection.
The following are some of the criteria for excluding a person from receiving the COVID-19 vaccine:
- Ever tested positive for COVID-19
- Have a history of allergies to any previous vaccines
- Have a history of allergies to substances used in vaccines
- Had an allergic reaction after receiving the first injection of COVID-19
- Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers
- Children
- People with a weak immune system
Therefore, I recommend you consult a doctor to get proper treatment. You can contact our doctor online for further information and treatment.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you.
