Right Toe & Toe Nail Infection
Good morning Doctor Abt 3 mths ago skin ard right toe became dry probably because of contact wit soapy water.
Sometimes it cracked with a wound. This healed with use of moisturizer but reoccured several times.
Then side of right toe nail discoloured & become deformed.
I have cut my toe nail as short as possible & applied Daktarin cream with Renew (Melaluca).
Appears to be working.
Questions

- am i using the right treatment combo?
- would Fucidin work better?
Best regards

In general, an infected toe or toenail can be caused by a few things such as:
- Skin infection around the toenail can caused by bacteria (Paronychia)
- Infection of the toenail can be caused by fungus
- Ingrown toenail
- Diabetes
