Sleep Apnea and Gerd
I’m 40 years old male with height at 1.61 and weight 67kg. I’ve been told that I have Sleep Apnea on 31st January. I wake up in the middle of the night as suddenly I feel choking at my throat and gasp for air.
I was advised by the ENT Specialist to get the CPAP machine, until now I cannot afford it.
Now I have another problem which disturb my sleep. I wake up as I feel somewhere at the end of my nose (not at the throat) is totally blocked that I have to sit up to get some air.
I was also informed by other doctor that I have GERD. I feel my breathing is difficult and burping make it feeling better. sometimes it feel that the food is going up as well. My throat feel pain. I also feel there is lump in throat.
Are these 2 connected? I dont know which speacialist to meet to help me with this issues. I cannot sleep well every night. Even if i try to sleep on my side, i do feel that the end of the nose is obstructed or blocked. Feeling worried and stress.
